Rockport Golf Academy Elite Squad members Molly O’Hara (12) and Katie Webb (14) enjoyed success at the Irish Schools’ Cup held at Milltown Golf Club, Dublin recently.
The girls won the Ulster Junior Cup earlier this month, qualifying them for the All-Ireland final.
George Vance, Headmaster, said “This is a truly magnificent achievement and we’re very proud of both Molly and Katie. Our Golf Academy continues to go from strength to strength – a testament to our offering of a first-rate education coupled with a high-performance sportsprogramme.”
The Rockport School Golf Academy is the first of its kind in Ireland and gives pupils the unique opportunity to combine academic studies with dedicated timetabled time to practise their golf. It offers an outstanding opportunity for aspiring young champions and goes beyond simply playing as members are taught golf etiquette, rules and course management.
