Moira Speciality Food Fair proves a tasteful affair

Over 8,000 visitors descended on the village of Moira recently to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the vast array of seasonal foodie delights at the annual Speciality Food Fair in Moira Demesne.
Hosted by Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council, Moira Speciality Food Fair once again saw many local artisan producers, traders, chefs, entertainers and musicians come together to showcase their unique produce and talents to visitors of all ages.
Speaking about the success of this year’s Moira Speciality Food Fair, the Chair of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council’s Development Committee, Alderman Allan Ewart MBE said, “We are very proud of the continued success of the Moira Speciality Food Fair. For the first time the night before we held a ‘Family Fun in the Park’ event that was enjoyed by all ages. Everyone involved year in, year out are dedicated to this popular event. We are delighted to once again have had the best of Northern Ireland’s artisan and street food producers and chefs grace Moira Demesne with their world-class produce and expertise. We have been inundated with positive feedback from visitors and we are already looking forward to seeing what next year’s event has to hold.”
Food-lovers from across Northern Ireland came out in full force to soak up the relaxed atmosphere of the food fair whilst enjoying the delectable range of food and drink on offer from some of Northern Ireland’s finest artisan and street food producers. These included Spontaneous Deuce, Ispini Charcuterie & Deli, The Quirky Bird, Tom & Ollie, The Curious Farmer, Tribal Burger, Lasa and Feast. Although, it wasn’t all food and drink, as the Moira Speciality Food Fair also offered fair goers a great line up of interactive family friendly activities and entertainment.
