SERC Students Excel In Exam Results

Recently local students from South Eastern Regional College were celebrating their results after two years of hard work.
This year saw many success stories including that of, Connor Murray, who received distinctions in his Vehicle Technology (Motorsports) Extended Diploma. Connor now plans to study Competition Car Technology at Myerscough College.
Connor explains: “I am absolutely delighted with my grades. I have worked really hard throughout the year and received fantastic support from my tutors. I chose to study at SERC after attending an open evening. I liked its state of the art facilities and the tutors were very friendly. ”
Another student who exceeded his expectations was General Engineering student Sam Marsden. Sam, aged 20 from Newcastle, achieved distinctions throughout his course and now plans to attend Liverpool John Moore’s University to study a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Comber student Amy Presho, 18, who studied a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management said ‘I’ve got 3 Distinctions which are the grades I need to study at university. I’ve really enjoyed my time at SERC and my lecturers have been a great help over the past two years’.
Downpatrick Travel and Tourism student from Downpatrick Katie Tumelty was also celebrating having secured her place to study a Foundation Degree in Travel and Tourism Management.
