Local Girls claim titles at World Dance Masters

The Elite competition group from Jenna Finnegan Dance Company attended the World Dance Masters in the prestigious Winter Gardens in Blackpool ‘the capital of the dance world’ at the end of July. After dancing for 3 full days of heats in solos, partners & teams, all dancers were pleased to have achieved top podium places – together achieving 10 world Championships titles.
World Champions are Serella Walker-Bell, Erin O’Shea, Colleen O’Shea, Faith Broggy, Abbie Gracey and Olivia McStravick.
Double World Champions are: Molly Walker-Bell and Katie Rooney.
Jenna Finnegan Dance Company was founded in 2009. During Lockdown a new dance studio was established by the company at Bishopscourt/Ballyhornan. Dance classes are offered in many different styles of dance from Ballroom & Latin to hip-hop! Dancers range fro 3 years old to adults. There are classes in competitive and non-competitive dance, all focusing on the fundamental techniques of dance in a fun way.
Jenna Finnegan Dance Compay and all of the dancers family and friends are very proud of their achievements bringing home so many titles to the Downpatrick, Ardglass and Killough areas. The dancers enjoyed a few weeks rest before a new dance year gets underway this month and are looking forward to competing all over Ireland and the UK in qualifying events throughout 2021-2022.
