BELL’S SUPERVALU IS A KNOCKOUT AT MUSGRAVE AWARDS

BELL’S SuperValu, Crossgar has claimed the prestigious title of ‘Newcomer of the Year’ at Musgrave NI’s annual awards event on Friday night at the Culloden Estate and Spa, Cultra.
Northern Ireland boxing legend and manager of IBF and WBA Super-Bantamweight Champion of the World Carl Frampton, Barry McGuigan, was on hand to congratulate Gabriel Bell, whose store picked up Newcomer of the Year sponsored by Tayto.
Musgrave NI organises the Gala Ball event each year for its 230 independent retailers in Northern Ireland across the SuperValu, Centra and Mace brands and finalists were selected following several rounds of performance and standards audits.
The evening, hosted by TV personality Claire McCollum, also saw Hegarty’s Fintona named SuperValu ‘Store of the Year’, Watson’s Portaferry named Centra ‘Store of the Year’ and Collingwood’s Aghalee named Mace ‘Store of the Year’.
SuperValu Limavady won Fundraising Store of the Year for a third year running while McCool’s SuperValu Ballymoney was recognised as the first store in Northern Ireland to achieve the Investor’s in People Gold Standard Award.
SuperValu Sales Director of Musgrave NI, Nigel Maxwell, said: “Congratulations to Gabriel, Darren and all the staff at SuperValu Crossgar for the fantastic achievement of being named Newcomer of the Year at this year’s awards.
“The Store of the Year awards allows us to recognise our retailers who provide outstanding standards in customer service and retail excellence and are driving their brands forward on a daily basis,” he added.
