Four Stars for Portaferry Visitor Information Centre

Portaferry Visitor Information Centre is set for a great summer having maintained its four-star grading from Tourism NI.
The grading scheme offers tourism operators a chance to be awarded with ratings that indicate the level of quality a visitor can expect.
Thanks to the range of excellent experiences on offer, Portaferry Visitor Information Centre maintained its high four-star rating after a recent inspection.
Mayor of Ards and North Down, Alderman Bill Keery, said: “Portaferry is situated on a beautiful part of the Ards Peninsula and is one of the many areas in our borough which is a great place to visit.”
“I’m delighted that the Visitor Information Centre has been awarded a well-deserved four-star rating. Not only does it reflect the quality of services and activities available but it also reflects the hard work of all staff in the centre.”
By participating in the Tourism NI scheme, Portaferry Visitor Information Centre will continually improve the quality of its services and help everyone get set for a summer of adventure!
Friendly and knowledgeable staff are always on hand to greet visitors and offer free tourist information that helps tourists and locals alike make the most of their stay.
There is a selection of novelty souvenirs as well as gifts, books and maps available in the shop while local residents and visitors can visit the Loft Gallery which features monthly art and craft exhibitions.
There is even be free Saturday afternoon (2pm-4pm) entertainment for children during July and August with animal roadshows, glitter tattoos and balloon modelling.
So if you live locally or intend to visit Portaferry to see Exploris Aquarium or one of the fantastic events, make sure you call into the Visitor Information Centre to make the most of your trip.
