A cuppa goodwill for NI Hospice

September 2014 - South Side Advertiser

Panto Queen May McFettridge and U105’s Carolyn Stewart joined Cindy Anderson, NI Hospice Ward Manager at the construction site for the new Adult Hospice in Belfast to encourage people from across the province to stick their kettles on and take part in Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Northern Ireland Hospice on Thursday, September 18th.

Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning 2014 in conjunction with Bewley’s, is an all-island fundraising event to raise much needed funds for local hospice services with all money raised staying locally.
Northern Ireland Hospice are hoping to get more kettles boiling than ever before and are appealing to schools, businesses and community organisations from right across the country to get brewing and collect just £2 for each cup of coffee served!

Carolyn Stewart, Patron of the NI Hospice Annual Coffee Morning says “I am really proud to support the 2014 NI Hospice Coffee Morning and hope you will too by hosting your own coffee break with colleagues and friends. Simply collect £2 for every cuppa served and you will be helping to care for local people living with cancer and other terminal illnesses, as well as providing support to their families.”

Funds raised from this year’s appeal will help support the work of local NI Hospice community nurses as they care for local people diagnosed with cancer and other life-limiting conditions in the community. Some of the money raised will also go towards closing the gap of £2.3 million which is still needed to complete the building of the new state-of-the-art Adult Hospice in Belfast, expected to open in late 2015. To take part in the Coffee Morning in aid of Northern Ireland Hospice, please register today at nihospice.org or call the Fundraising Team on 028 9077 7123.
