The company’s all-new Oasis Travel & Cruise Centre at 127-129 Main Street in the heart of Bangor was officially opened by Alderman Alan Graham, Mayor of Ards and North Down.

The new store which replaces the company’s former presence at Castle Street in the town is now the largest and most luxurious in the Oasis Travel network, creating a flagship outlet in an area which has traditionally been of key importance to the travel group.

Managing Director Sandra Corkin says, “We’re delighted to be increasing our visibility and reinforcing our presence in Bangor with this significant investment. Bangor has always been an important trading area for us and we have a hugely loyal customer base not only in the town itself but also right across North Down. In recent years that has grown significantly and this latest development underlines both our commitment to our current customers and our determination to grow our business still further.”

Mayor of Ards and North Down, Alderman Alan Graham, is delighted to see a local business thriving. He said, “Ards and North Down has an entrepreneurial spirit, with over 4,200 local businesses contributing to the area’s robust economy.

“Oasis Travel - Northern Ireland’s largest luxury independent travel company - is a prime example of a home-grown company that has gone from strength to strength. Their recent move to luxurious new premises located in a prime retail location on Main Street, Bangor demonstrates the extent of the business’ ongoing success. I wish them all the best with their new venue.”

Customers at the new facility will, for the first time, enjoy a dedicated Luxury Cruise Facility as well as a more spacious and relaxed environment for customer travel consultations … and for showcasing the huge wide world of travel options.

The new surroundings in deep blue and cool white complimented by wood and glass accents, reflect the corporate colours of Oasis Travel and also the unique emphasis on cruising which the new store offers.

Bangor Branch Manager Lynn Jamison says, “We’ve been serving Northern Irish travellers for more than thirty years, winning countless awards along the way, and we pride ourselves on having a real understanding of local travellers’ needs and tastes. In North Down there is no doubt that cruising tops the wish list and I know our customers will be thrilled at our bespoke cruising section which offers something truly special for every taste and almost every budget too. High end luxury holidays will be represented as never before, with an amazing array of options showcased in our new and uniquely chic setting. We believe that the holiday mood – and pampering! - should start from the moment a customer steps into the store!

“Family holidays and short breaks are also firm favourites with local customers and we have some exciting ideas to make those holiday pounds stretch further in 2016. The size and scale of our operation, with branches in Holywood, Lisburn and Belfast (Lisburn Road & Howard Street), gives us tremendous buying power so that we are able to offer deals and discounts that are exclusive to Oasis Travel … all backed up by our unique blend of personal service and expertise.”
