Councillor Stephen Dunne (Chair of Revitalisation Committee) and Leslie Waite (Hannah's Flower Shop) welcome new signs 

New welcome signage has been revealed across Ards & North. Welcoming the new signage was local Councillor Stephen Dunne who added:

'I am delighted with the new Welcome Gateway signage which has been rolled out across the Borough following the completion of the first phase of Public Realm works in the five main towns. Following the Public Realm works, there was funding made available from the Department for Communities (formerly DSD) through a revitalisation fund.

These new signs are bright and attractive and are very welcome for both residents and visitors alike. Our town centres have had a real boost in recent years through the significant investment delivered centrally in conjunction with Ards & North Down Borough Council and I believe these new signs are another example of positive investment locally.

I would like to thank Leslie Waite, Mari Jackson, Stuart Funston, Valerie Cobain, Sarah McWilliams and the other representatives who served together on the Holywood Revitalisation Committee in delivering a number of positiverevitalisation projects including the Shop Frontage Scheme, Local Shopping Bags, Marketing Campaign, Food and Fashion Event and New signage programmes. It is vital we continue to support our town centres which are the backbone of our economy in the days ahead and that was certainly our theme throughout the work of the Revitalisation Committee.'
