NI Water team pays visit to Ards school

December 2019 - The Ards Advertiser

NI Water’s Education team visited Victoria Primary School in Newtownards recently to tell pupils about how we can all reduce plastic by refilling a reusable bottle from the tap.

NI Water provided all pupils at the school with water bottles to encourage pupils to refill them with tap water and therefore reduce the amount of single use plastic bottles that could potentially end up polluting our seas.

The school also received a waterbutt for use in their school garden.

Approximately 863,000 domestic, agricultural, commercial and business properties in Northern Ireland are connected to the public water supply. Each day NI Water supplies more than 571 million litres of high quality drinking water to customers.
